This room reveal has to be some of the most relaxed styling I have ever done. Inspired by the Palm Road Art print I got straight into ‘island time’ and imagined a perfect scenario to relax and enjoy as a quiet corner in a lounge or bedroom.
Look at studio dog 'Eddie' as happy as can be, making this room his own!
My mind is taken to an idyllic vacation spot where a light breeze would flow in through the window, and what a perfect corner to have in a house that might be full of family, kids and general mess. I would love to have a personal retreat in the comfort of my own home.
I am in love with this neutral colour palette with Dulux Waiau Bay on the walls, that perfectly matches the colour palette of the artwork. The 70s rattan sitting chair I can imagine would be straight from a Palm Springs home styled with a organic lined cushion and animal hide and loads of texture in the furnishings to provide variety to the neutral colour palette.
Then what might be the cheapest and most effective part of this styled look is just adding a touch of greenery, keeping to the ‘palms’ inspiration I grabbed a single palm leaf from the local florist, and it added an immediate freshness to the look.
I hope you enjoy this little retreat amongst the mayhem of winter and every day life.
