Rewind & Repair

With a change in season coming, we’re thinking about nesting in homely living spaces – ready to create some warm and cosy rooms for a season spent mostly indoors. Inspired by the ‘Repair’ story from the Dulux Colour Forecast 2019, our autumn moodboard is taking shape, full of our go-to colours and textures for creating warmth within a space.

We put this palette to the test in our latest Room Reveal and give you our tips for re-creating this look at home.

Dulux Autumn Trends: The 'Repair' Palette

The Repair story is all about bringing the outside in and creating cosy, joyful spaces that nurture and inspire. The colours are drawn from nature – think soft grey-green, earthy olive and rich ochre – plugging into our collective desire to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

Here's a little inspiration from Dulux:

Our tips for recreating the 'Repair' look:

Play with plants to build an interesting display of nature – use different plants, pots and planters in varying shapes and colours, mixing modern lines with eclectic, vintage-look pieces.

Keep snug with layers of texture like cosy wool knits, animal hides, aged leather and sumptuous velvet. Add plenty of natural finishes like warm timber and woven rattan.

This trend is all about contrast – balancing the calm with the bold, the contemporary with the old, the rustic with the luxurious, a vintage-form chair with a modern, steel-framed floor mirror!

Create your own ‘Repair’ look with these great on-palette pieces.
